Greer Named Assistant Director of Sports Medicine

ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University Assistant Athletics Director Monica Lopes has announced that Spartanburg, S.C., native Dalton Greer has been named Assistant Director of Sports Medicine.

"I am positively excited to have Dalton as our new Assistant Director of Sports Medicine," said Lopes. "His relationships with our coaches and student-athletes is exceptional. Dalton's work ethic and dedication have been obvious as he has served our athletic department with a real passion. I am looking forward to a great semester and everything we have in store for advancing our health care to the student athletes. I am excited for the enhancements and drive we both have in developing the small Christian-based Sports Medicine Department here at AU."

Greer has served as an athletic trainer with the Trojans since arriving from Western Carolina last fall and has also worked with the University of Arizona football program, North Carolina State women's basketball and football, North Buncombe High School and at AC Reynolds High School in Asheville, N.C. during his professional career.

As part of his responsibilities, Greer will continue to cover men's soccer and baseball for the Trojans.

Greer is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers' Association and the North Carolina Athletic Trainers' Association and also volunteered at Western Carolina and at Good Samaritan Clinic of Jackson County in Cullowhee, N.C.

"I am excited for the opportunity to join such a unique community that will allow me to grow not only in my profession, but also in my faith," Greer said.

Greer earned his bachelor's degree at Western Carolina in 2017 and is currently working on his master's degree in Advanced Athletic Training through the University of South Florida.
