LITTLE RIVER, S.C. -- Pfeiffer shot a 313 to take the first-round lead in the Lenior-Rhyne/Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate at the River Hills Golf and Country Club Monday. Rounding out the top five are Berry (315), Tusculum (320), Montevallo (323), and Wingate (325). Anderson University is tied for 10th place after the first round at 338. Katie Clayton of Limestone shot a 1-over 73 to take the lead in the individual competition. Brittany Beltran of Pfeiffer is second (74), Morgan Bell of Montevallo is third (75), and Charlene Reid of Pfeiffer is fourth (76). Anderson was led by Kim Hausman, a former basketball player for the Lady Trojans, who shot 82. Anderson's other three scores were Elizabeth Belanger 84, Sophie Dembroski 85, and Hayley Parks 87. The second round will be played Tuesday.
