ANDERSON, S.C. – Following a two-week layoff, the Anderson men's golf team will get back in action at the Donald Ross Intercollegiate, which will be hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne at the Mimosa Hills Country Club in Morganton, N.C.
The Trojans will be making their first appearance at the Donald Ross Intercollegiate and are coming off a 10th-place finish at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate, when sophomore Jake Miller paced the team with a two-day, 6-over-par 150.
Miller finished in a tie for 26th, with four Trojans - freshman Cal Brock, sophomore Brady Cox, junior Grayson Bell and senior Forrest Fowler finished the two-day event in a tie for 47th, while sophomore Drake McAlister finished 86th.
Through three tournaments this fall, Miller leads the squad with a 74.83 stroke average and shares low-round honors with Cox, as both sophomores have carded 71s on the season – both during the second round of the King Invitational in late September. Miller has a pair of top-15 finishes, while Cox has finished in the top-25 on two occasions.
Brock is second on the team with a 75.67 stroke average and earned All-Tournament honors by finishing fifth at the AU Invitational in mid-September.
