Men’s Golf Tied for 13th at Catawba’s Rendleman Invitational

SALISBURY, N.C. - The Anderson University men's golf team is in a tie for 13th following the first round of the Richard Rendleman Invitational, hosted by Catawba College at the par 71, 6665 yard Country Club of Salisbury.

Anderson senior Chase Epting is in a five-way tie for 15th after carding a first-round 74, while junior John Moore fired an opening-round 78 and sits in an eight-way tie for 44th.

Sophomore Arran Setro posted an 80 and is tied for 60th and fellow sophomore Sean Shelton is three shots further back after notching an 83. CJ Messana rounded out the Trojan effort with an 85 and is tied for 82nd.

UNC Pembroke leads the 18-team field with a first-round 291.

The two-day, 36-hole event concludes Tuesday.
