ANDERSON, S.C. - The Anderson men's golf team finds itself in fourth place following day one of the Anderson Invitational Men's Golf Tournament Monday afternoon at the par 72, 7,002 yard Cobb's Glen Country Club in Anderson.
Junior John Moore shot an even-par 72 and is in a four-way tie for fifth while senior Chase Epting is in a four-way tie for 15th following his first-round 75. Sophomore Arran Setro shares 19th after carding an opening-round 76.
Anderson sophomore Sean Shelton posted a first-round 79 and Wheeler Renfro finds himself in alone 47th to close out the scoring for AU.
With a team score of 302 (+14), the Trojans share fourth with Spartanburg Methodist and need to make up seven strokes on second-place Tusculum and Lenoir-Rhyne. Led by freshman Brad Thorne's pace-setting four under par 68, Erskine leads the tourney.
The teams are back on the course for final-round action with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
