PINEVILLE, Ky. - The Anderson men's golf team finds itself in 11th place following day one of the Lincoln Memorial Invitational, hosted by LMU at the par 72, 6,825 yard Wasioto Winds Golf Course in Pineville, Ky.
Junior John Moore led the Trojans while carding an even-par 72, and sits in a five-way tie for ninth, eight strokes off the pace set by Pfeiffer's Troy Bulmer.
Senior Chase Epting fired a five-over par opening round 77 and is in a six-way tie for 42nd. Freshman Wheeler Renfroe is tied for 53rd after an opening-round 79, along with sophomore Arran Setro. Fellow sophomore Sean Shelton posted a 10-over first-round 82 to round out the Trojan contingent.
With a team score of 307 (+19), the Trojans need to make up just one stroke on Brevard and Cape Fear Community College to move up to ninth and two shots to move past the LMU Blue team on Tuesday.
