ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Anderson men's golf team finds itself in 15th place following day one of the Jay Jennison Memorial hosted by Flagler College Monday at the par 72, 7,071 yard Palencia Club in St. Augustine.
The day's second round was interrupted by thunderstorms and will be completed Tuesday, with the third and final round to follow. Tuesday's start is slated for 8 a.m.
Senior Chase Epting paced the Trojans with a four-over par opening round 76 and is in a six-way tie for 33rd. Sophomore Arran Setro shares 54th after firing an opening-round 79, while sophomore Sean Shelton posted an eight-over first-round 80.
Junior John Moore is two shots further back after a 10-over 82 and freshman CJ Messana carded an opening-round 93 and is in 80th following the opening round.
With a team score of 317 (+29), the Trojans need to make up three strokes on 14-place Montevallo and four shots on 13th-place Tampa to move up on Tuesday.
