Rish Earns All-Region Recognition

NEW ORLEANS – Track and Field standout Olivia Rish has earned All-Southeast Region Indoor Track & Field accolades, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday.

The top five individuals in each event from each region earned the All-Region distinction, in addition to each of the members of the regions' top three relay teams. The eight regions used in NCAA DII are the Atlantic Region, Central Region, East Region, Midwest Region, South Region, South Central Region, Southeast Region and West Region.

Rish earned the honor for her performances in both the mile run and the 800 meters.

A total of 1,614 athletes from 156 different institutions earned All-Region honors nationwide with 812 honorees coming from the men's side and an additional 802 from women's teams.

No program had more combined All-Region honorees than Queens with 50. The Royals had one more than Grand Valley State (49) and six more than Lee University (Tenn.) with 44.

Jenny Koehne of Queens led all of the athletes honored with six nods. Koehne earned All-Southeast Region in the 60 Meters, 200 Meters, 60 Meter Hurdles, High Jump, Long Jump and the pentathlon.
