AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta State won two of the three doubles matches and the first three flights of singles to beat Anderson University 7-2 Friday afternoon in a non-conference women's match. The match was Anderson's first of the spring portion of the schedule. Doubles -- Rovira-Rodriguez (AS) d. Lawler-Walker, 8-0; McDonald-Salvany (AU) d. Jegat-Zevallos, 8-4; Abrams-Brester (AS) d. Sparkman-Goncalves, 8-2 Singles -- Rodriguez (AS) d. Lawler, 6-0, 6-2; Jegat (AS) d. Goncalves, 6-1, 6-2; Rovira (AS) d. Salvany, 6-0, 6-1; McDonald (AU) d. Zevallos, 6-4, 6-2; Abrams (AS) d. Walker, 6-0, 6-1; Brester (AS) d. Sparkman, 6-0, 6-1.
