Women's Tennis Team Loses Another Close One

MISENHEIMER, N.C. -- The Anderson College women's tennis team suffered its fourth 5-4 loss Saturday at Pfeiffer. Pfeiffer, 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the CVAC, won the six-hour marathon at No. 6 singles where Heather Smith beat Anderson's Zan Elvington, 6-2, 5-7, 6-1. Anderson, 3-7 and 2-4, led 2-1 after doubles, but Pfeiffer won four singles matches, including a pair of three-setters at No. 5 and No. 6. Three of Anderson's four 5-4 losses have come in CVAC play.
