Lady Trojans Lose Another Close One

ANDERSON, S.C. -- After falling behind 3-0 in doubles, the Anderson College women's team put together a furious rally in singles, but Queens University of Charlotte managed to hang on for a 5-4 victory in a CVAC match Friday afternoon at the Max Grubbs Memorial Courts. The loss, Anderson's third 5-4 defeat of spring, drops the Lady Trojans to 1-6, 0-3. Queens improves to 10-3, 3-0. But after getting blanked in doubles, Anderson rallied to win at No. 2, No. 3, No. 5, and No. 6 singles. The clinching match for Queens came at No. 4 singles where Cathy Culbertson outlasted Anderson's Aline Salvany, 6-0, 2-6, 6-4.
