Lady Trojans Win First CVAC Match

ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Anderson College women's tennis team won five singles matches in straight sets on its way to a 9-0 victory over Belmont Abbey Saturday afternoon at the Max Grubbs Memorial Courts. Anderson, 2-6 overall and 1-3 in the CVAC, received two defaults in the match at No. 1 doubles and No. 6 singles. Anderson lost just five games in singles, all in the No. 1 singles match. In that match, Katie Sexton beat Belmont Abbey's Dondra McGee, 6-3, 6-2. The loss drops Belmont Abbey to 0-5, 0-3.
