NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The Anderson University women's golf team shot 340 for the second consecutive day to finish ninth in the 11-team Charleston Southern Fall Classic Tuesday at the par-71, 5,900-yard Coosaw Creek Country Club. Host Charleston Southern, led by individual champion Olivia Higgins, shot 310 in the second round to finish the 36-hole event at 610, four shots ahead of Coastal Carolina. Bethune-Cookman finished third at 625. Anderson was led in the second round by Sophie Dembroski, who shot an 81. She was followed by Laura Buyers and Hayley Parks, who both shot 86, and Anna Jenks with an 87. Seven teams in the field were Division I members. Anderson finished ahead of South Carolina State and The Citadel. Higgins shot 73-76 then won a playoff over Hannah Coles of Radford for the individual title.
