NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Anderson College men's cross country team finished 18th in the 26-team Southeastern Classic Invitational at Warner Park Saturday morning. AC's top two finishers in the 230-runner field were Josiah Jones (29:27, 83) and John Hembree (29:44, 95). Alex Chemwella of Pikeville won the men's race with a time of 25:55. In the women's race, AC had just four runners and did not record a team score. AC's top finisher in the 188-runner field was Kassi Lakes (21:56, 56). Keely Weaver, running unattached, won the women's race with a time of 19:13. Both Anderson teams will return to action Friday morning when AC plays host to the 2002 CVAC Championships at the Pine Lake Golf Club.
