ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Unable to find the scoreboard for the first time in 2014, Anderson University men's soccer came up empty on its two-match Florida road trip, falling to Peach Belt Conference opponent Flagler, 4-0, Saturday evening at Saints Field.

With the setback, the Trojans drop to a 0-2 overall mark, while the hosts earned their first victory of the season. Flagler earned its first win over AU after two scoreless draws in each of the past two seasons.

Despite the lop-sided scoreline, the shot battle was almost even as the Saints came out on top, 11-10. Four of the 10 shots for the Trojans came on goal as Martin Brain, Andre Carle, Aaron Roberson and William Treichler all recorded shots on the net. Brain and Carle led the team with two shots apiece.

Flagler was led by forward Jonny Cosgrove who scored twice and Thomas Gallitz who dished out two assists. With his two-goal performance, Cosgrove leads his team with three goals on the year. Flagler's Simeon Wickli and Caleb Austin added on to the home side's goal total with their first goals of the 2014 campaign.

FC goalkeeper Lex Craggs earned his first clean sheet for the season, while stopping three Anderson shots. Despite not scoring, the Trojans totaled six corner kicks.

Anderson returns to action on Sept. 13 when it opens South Atlantic Conference play on the road at Catawba. Kickoff from the Tar Heel State is set for 7:30 p.m.
