SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Shelly Davis beat Danielle Beck, 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 for the deciding point to give Anderson College a 5-4 victory over Converse in a non-conference match Tuesday afternoon. AC swept the doubles, but Converse bounced back with victories in four of the top five singles spots. Singles -- Marcela Caceres (C) d. Katie Sexton, 6-1, 2-6, 6-3; Tina Rohner (C) d. Kristen Lambert, 6-0, 6-3; Shelley Davis (AC) d. Danielle Beck, 6-2, 4-6, 6-1; Sandra Diaz (C) d. Zan Elvington, 7-5, 6-7 (10-3); Christine Galop (C) d. Ashley Williamson, 6-2, 6-2; Ria Wright (AC) d. Mary Poore, 6-0, 7-5. Doubles -- Sexton-Davis (AC) d. Caceres-Rohner, 8-6; Lambert-Williamson (AC) d. Galop-Beck, 8-0; Wright-Elvington (AC) d.
