Hall Tied for 57th Place Following Opening Round of NCAA Women’s Golf Championships

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Anderson University freshman Victoria Hall carded an 8-over-par 81 and is in a 13-way tie for 57th place following opening- round action Tuesday at the NCAA Women's Golf Championships, which are being hosted on a par-73, 6,081-yard PGA National Resort layout.

Nationally third-ranked Cal State San Marcos leads the three-day, 54-hole tournament by five strokes over top-ranked Barry. Southwest Oklahoma State is one stroke further back and holds the third spot. Limestone and Indianapolis share fourth place entering Tuesday's second round, while Dallas Baptist is sixth. Lynn and Grand Valley State are seventh and eighth, respectively, while
Oklahoma Christian is ninth.

Florida Tech, West Texas A&M, Findley, Northeastern State, Arkansas Tech
Missouri – St. Louis and Central Missouri round out the 16-team field.

Cal State San Marcos' Claire Hogle (69) was one of only eight golfers to reach par on the day and leads the chase for individual medalist honors by three shots over teammate Jaime Jacob, Gloria Choi (Southwest Oklahoma State), Mackenzie Blomberg (Grand Valley State) and Limestone's Pilar Martinez.

Hall, along with the majority of the field, struggled along the back nine, but birdied the par-5 third hole before following up with a double bogey on the next hole, while firing an impressive 1-over-par on the front nine.

Following 54 holes of stroke play, an individual champion will be declared along with finishers 2-10 on Thursday

Tuesday's second round is slated to get underway at 8 a.m.
