Women's Golf Places Three On All-CVAC Team

THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- The Anderson University women's golf team placed three players on the 2005-06 All-Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference team by the league's coaches, the CVAC office announced Thursday night. Junior Carlie Eastman and freshman Erin May both were named to the second team, and Jenny Odle received honorable mention honors. Eastman, a native of Warren, Ohio, had a stroke average of 85.50 in 14 rounds. Her best score of the year was a 76 in the first round of the Anderson Invitational last September, and her best individual finish was third at the Upstate College Classic. May, a native of Anderson, had a stroke average of 84.92 in 12 rounds. She finished 17th in two tournaments -- the Anderson Invitational and the Tusculum/Kiawah Island Invitational. Her best round was an 81 in the first round of the Patsy Rendleman Invitational. Odle, a native of Litchfield, Ill., had a scoring average of 85.64 in 14 rounds. Her best finish was 10th in the Upstate College Classic. Her best round was 80 in the first round of the Patsy Rendleman Invitational.
