Anderson Women's Golf Team Finishes Seventh At Kiawah Island

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -- The Anderson University women's golf team finished seventh in the 17-team Tusculum/Kiawah Island Invitational Sunday at the Cougar Point Course. Anderson finished the 36-hole event with a total of 696. The Lady Trojans shot 348 in both rounds. Nova Southeastern won the team title with a total of 616. Central Arkansas was second at 641, and Grand Valley State was third at 651. Anderson was led by freshman Erin May, who shot 168 (86-82) to finish in a tie for 17th place. Christina Lecuyer of Central Arkansas won the individual title with a score of 151 (77-74). Lisa Bjorklund and Andrea Maldonado of Nova Southeastern tied for second at 152. Anderson's next tournament is Mar. 6-7 at Gaffney, S.C.
