ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson University women's basketball sophomore Diamond McDowell has been named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week seven of the 2022-23 season, the Conference announced today.
McDowell, a sophomore from Asheboro, N.C., led the Trojans to a 71-58 win over regionally ranked Augusta last week. She notched her fourth double-double of the season scoring 12 points and ripping down a season-high 18 rebounds. The 6-2 forward also recorded two assists, two steals, and a career high five blocks in the win.
