Sanford, Teachout Lead Trojans on Day Two of Wake Forest Invitational

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Senior Hannah Sanford and freshman Joey Teachout led the Trojan efforts on the second day of the Wake Forest Invitational, which was hosted by the Demon Deacons at the JDL Fast Track.

Sanford paced the women's team by finishing eighth in the 5,000 meter run in a time of 19:45.44, while freshman Lydia Gambrell claimed 11th by crossing the finish line in a time of 20:41.19. Sophomore Emily Olson finished 14th in a time of 21:58.05.

Teachout led the men's squad with an 11th-place finish in a time of 16:13.50, with sophomore Luke Horne finishing 14th in a time of 16:28.74. Freshman David Rolon was 19th in a time of 17:40.95.

The Trojans will return to action on Friday, Feb. 2 at the Camel City Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C. and East Tennessee State's Buccaneer Invitational in Johnson City, Tenn.
