PANAMA CITY, Fla. -- Battling cold conditions, the Anderson College men's golf team shot a 331 in the first round of The Hombre Intercollegiate Monday morning. The Trojans are in 12th place in the 15-team field. West Florida shot a 296 to grab the first round lead. USC Aiken is second at 307, and Kennesaw State is third at 308. Anderson, playing in its first tournament of the spring schedule, was led by Kyle Owings and Denton Moore, who both shot 79. Cody Munger (85) and Andrew Corley (88) provided AC's other two scores. Just one player in the field managed to break par in first round. The second round will be played Tuesday morning.
