Lady Trojans Continue To Lead CVAC Tournament

PINEHURST, N.C. -- The Anderson College women's golf team shot another 345 on Tuesday and will take a 12-shot lead into Tuesday's final round of the 2004 CVAC Championship. The Lady Trojans were the only team to have four players in the 80s in the second round on the par-72, 5,800-yard Foxfire Golf and Country Club course. Kathryn Adkins led AC with an 84. AC's other three scores were: Brandi Jackson 85, Carlie Eastman 87, and Darcie Davis 89. Anderson has a 36-hole total of 690 and leads second-place Limestone by 12 shots and third-place Pfeiffer by 25 shots. In the individual standings, Adkins leads with a 165 total through two rounds. She leads Jackson (168) by three shots, and Leslie Ledbetter of Pfeiffer by four shots. The tournament marks the first time the CVAC has held a women's golf championship. The final round of the 54-hole event will be played Tuesday morning.
