GREENEVILLE, TENN. – The Anderson University men's tennis team battled back from a 2-1 deficit after the doubles portion to claim its sixth conference win of the season defeating South Atlantic Conference opponent Tusculum; 6-3 on Tuesday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex.
With the win, the Trojans move to 16-4 overall and 6-3 in conference play while Tusculum falls to 10-8 overall and 5-4 in SAC action.
Playing in the No. 1 position, Nicolas Ascarrunz and Jeffrey Dayton picked up a crucial point in doubles action defeating Tomas Kmetko and Toby de Klerk (TCM), 8-2.
In singles action, the Black and Gold poured it on winning five of the six matches to set the final score at 6-3.
The Trojans continue conference play when they host SAC opponent Lenoir-Rhyne. First serve is slated for 1 p.m.
