ANDERSON, S.C. - Following a nearly three-week layoff, the Anderson men's tennis team got back in action with a 5-0 setback to 20th-ranked Augusta State Friday afternoon at the Max Grubbs Memorial Courts.
In a battle between regionally-ranked teams, Augusta State, (14-5), ranked seventh in the Southeast Region got past Anderson (7-5), which is ranked ninth in region and 28th nationally. The Trojans had their two-match win streak snapped and dropped their first home match of the season.
Anderson will get back on the courts Sunday, as the Trojans visit Tusculum for a South Atlantic Conference matchup at 2 p.m.
