BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Anderson men's soccer team wrapped up its season-opening four-match road swing by dropping a 2-0 decision to the host Black Knights in Lynn University's Wyndham Garden Inn/Lynn Soccer Classic Saturday afternoon at LU's McCusker Sports Complex.

Anderson (2-2-0) had its two-match win streak snapped, while Lynn (3-1-0) claimed its third consecutive win on the season and second past the Trojans after earning a win in Anderson last season.

The Black Knight's Roberto Cadihle scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 16th minute as he corralled a rebound off the hands of Trojan goalkeeper Lukas Hesse.

Lynn added an insurance goal at the 75:58 mark when defender Johnny Mertl's shot from the box found its way into the net, with teammate Youcef Oudjidane garnering the assist.

AU leading scorer Clement Samson was unavailable for the majority of the contest after receiving his second yellow card with just 2:25 gone in the opening half.

The Black Knights out-shot Anderson, 19-1, on the afternoon and held a 9-1 shots on goal advantage. Lynn also garnered five corner kicks to AU's three in the foul-plagued contest.

Junior goalkeeper Lukas Hesse suffered the setback for the Trojans, while junior Matt DiCerbo collected the win for the Black Knights.

Anderson opens a season-high four-match homestand on Saturday, Sept. 17, when South Atlantic Conference foe Lenoir-Rhyne invades Trojan Stadium in the league-opener for both teams. Kick-off is slated for 3 p.m. in the second half of a women's/men's doubleheader.
