St. Edwards Wins Coker Invitational

ORLANDO, Fla. -- St. Edwards finished with a 36-hole total of 14-under 562 to take a five-stroke victory in the Coker Invitational Tuesday at the Orange County National Panther Lake Course. Anderson University shot a 291 to move up four spots in the standings and finish in 17th place in the 21-team with a two-round total of 593. Rounding out the top five behind St. Edwards were Florida Southern (567), Barry (573), Nova Southeastern (574), Rollins (576) and Columbus State (576). First-round leader Matt Smith (66-68) of St. Edwards and Chris Wolfe (68-66) of Armstrong Atlantic State tied for the individual title at 134. Anderson was led in the second round by Ryan Sprayberry, who shot a 1-under 71 to finish the tournament in a tie for 18th place at 143. Anderson's other three scores in the second round were Kurt Owings 72, Adam Sheriff 73, and Nick Kirby 75.
