ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University freshman Carly Keuffer and sophomore Juan Sengariz have been named the Jimmy John's Female and Male Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sept. 18.
Keuffer, a women's soccer player from Mason, Ohio played the full 90 minutes against nonconference opponent Lander and SAC member Lincoln Memorial. Keuffer anchored the backline in both of these shutouts, as well as scored a goal against the Railspitters. The Trojans are 5-1-3 overall on the season.
Sengariz, a men's tennis player from Santander, Spain defeated his opponent from USC Sumter, 6-2, 6-1 to open the 2022-2023 campaign. Sengariz's opponent, Mathis Collingnon is ranked in the top-10 in the country at the JUCO level.
