Cabo Reaches 50 Career SAC Wins; No. 28 Trojans Beat No. 37 Limestone 4-3

ANDERSON, S.C. – The No. 28 Anderson Trojans (11-1, 7-1 SAC) came out strong and took down No. 37 Limestone (6-6, 4-3 SAC) by a final of 4-3 on Tuesday afternoon. AU bounced back from a defeat in their last home match to score their fourth home win of the season. Aaron Cabo's 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles with partner Greyson Doscotch was the 50th conference victory of the senior's career, between singles and doubles.

"It was a tough win by the boys today," said AU Head Coach Joey Eskridge. "They played great in the doubles to start things. In singles, Juan, Spencer, and Greyson all played great from start to finish. Greyson has gone to three sets a lot. He played great in the third set and brought it home for the Trojans. Looking forward to going on the road to UVA Wise this weekend."

AU took the doubles point from the Saints with a trio of wins. Spencer Snow and Patrick Cronin teamed for a 6-2 win at the No. 3 spot, before Cabo and Doscotch clinched the doubles point– and the aforementioned milestone for Cabo.

Upon the point being clinched, Juan Sengariz and Julian Kenzlers finished things off with a 6-4 win of their own at No. 2.

The Trojans kept the momentum in singles. Slotting in at the No. 6 singles position, senior Spencer Snow kickstarted things for AU with a 6-3, 6-2 win. Shortly after, Sengariz finished off his opponent at No. 1, and the Trojans had a 3-0 lead in the team match.

However, the Saints kept things competitive. A Limestone win at No. 5 and multiple matches entrenched in third sets meant the match was still up for grabs. At the No. 3 position, Greyson Doscotch came up clutch for the Trojans. The Priceville, Ill. native came back after losing the second set to win an emphatic third set and the match, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1.

Following the win by Doscotch, AU had clinched the team match. The Saints took the final two matches in third sets to conclude play.
