ANDERSON, S.C. – The No. 17 Anderson Trojans (8-0, 4-0 SAC) aim to continue their perfect start to the season when they match up with #48 Carson-Newman (5-6, 3-1 SAC) and Lenoir-Rhyne (4-10, 2-2 SAC) Saturday and Monday. AU looks to build on their 15-match regular season winning streak, including their latest victory over Coker on Wednesday.

Last Time Out

AU came back from spring break and continued their SAC dominance with a 5-2 win against the Coker Cobras. After winning yet another doubles point, the Trojans took 4 singles matches, each in straight sets. 

 

Cronin In Form

Sophomore Patrick Cronin made his spring debut on Wednesday in a winning effort. The Lexington, S.C. native notched a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles. The win was Cronin's fourth as a Trojan in singles play and improved AU's record at the 6th singles spot to 6-1 on the season.

 

A Look At Carson-Newman

  • Carson-Newman enters play sporting a 5-6 record, but have recorded 3 conference wins.

  • Marnix Van Dalen and Marc Janse have held down the top two spots in the Eagles' lineup, and have combined for a 6-5 record at No. 1, and a 9-2 record at No. 2.

  • No. 3 doubles has been a reliable spot for the Eagles, as the team of Van Dalen and Lars Hordijk are 5-0 in dual match play.

 

A Look At Lenoir-Rhyne

  • The Bears have a 2-2 record in SAC play, but have struggled in non-conference action.

  • Patrik Alvestrand has paced Lenoir-Rhyne at No. 5 singles, posting a 3-1 record at the position.

  • The Bears' most successful doubles team is found at the third position. Mattias Selde and Connor Gibson own a 6-2 record together, including a prior 6-match winning streak.
