ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University senior Anna Greer and sophomore Patrick Cronin have been named the Jimmy John's Athletes of the Week, as announced early Thursday morning.
Greer, a women's tennis standout from Boiling Springs, S.C. went undefeated in her singles matches against Catawba and Wingate. Both teams are ranked top-seven in the region. The Trojans are getting set to compete in the South Atlantic Conference Tournament that begins on Thursday, April 20th.
Cronin, a member of the men's tennis team had a huge win over Catawba in singles action to clinch the match against Catawba. With he team victory, AU earned the fourth-seed into the South Atlantic Conference match and will face No. Limestone. First-serve is slated for 2 pm on Thursday, April 20th.
Each week, one male and one female student-athlete are honored as the Jimmy John's Athlete of the Week for his or her performance in competition, in the classroom, or in the community.
