DURANGO, Colo. –Anderson University women's basketball team remains No. 8 in the Southeast Region Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, after falling to Tusculum on the road and defeating Coker at home, both South Atlantic Conference opponents, as announced by the regional committee on Monday.
Lincoln Memorial continues to occupy the top spot despite falling to SAC opponent Wingate on Saturday. Columbus State and Limestone remain at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively while Wingate made a big move after defeating LMU to claim the No. 4 slot. Clayton State remains at No. 5 while Lander gets bumped up to No. 6. North Georgia drops from the fourth positon landing at No. 7. Anderson holds steady at No. 8 with Mount Olive climbing up one spot to No. 9. Entering the Top 10 at No. 10 is Carson-Newman.
The Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its third year of existence. The regional poll is released every Monday, followed by the national poll every Tuesday. Each region has six representatives that comprise the regional poll. The national poll has 16 voters - 2 from each region.
The Trojans return to the hardwood on Wednesday as they host SAC foe Carson-Newman in a huge conference match-up. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
