Women's Basketball Moves up To N0. 9 in the D2SIDA Media Poll

DURANGO, Colo. –Anderson University women's basketball team moved up one spot to No. 9 in the Southeast Region Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, after defeating South Atlantic Conference opponent Queens on Saturday 71-43, as announced by the regional committee on Monday.

Limestone still controls the top spot following a two-win week, while Clayton State switches places with Newberry to take over the second spot. Lincoln Memorial made the biggest leap in the poll, moving from ninth to fourth following its eighth victory of the season. North Georgia moves up a slot to claim the fifth position while Lander slips to sixth.

Wingate falls from fourth to share the seventh spot with Columbus State. The Trojans claim the ninth position while Augusta fall to number ten after going 1-1 on the week.

The Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its third year of existence. The regional poll is released every Monday, followed by the national poll every Tuesday. Each region has six representatives that comprise the regional poll. The national poll has 16 voters - 2 from each region.

The Trojans return to the hardwood on Saturday, December 10 when they host SAC foe Newberry. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
