Women’s Basketball Drops to No. 10 in D2SIDA Media Poll

DURANGO, Colo. – Despite winning big on the road at Mars Hill to open up South Atlantic Conference action the Anderson University women's basketball dropped two spots to No. 10 in the Southeast Region Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, announced by the regional committee on Monday.

Limestone still controls the top spot following its 15-point win over Flagler, while Newberry remained second with two wins. Clayton State made the biggest leap in the poll, moving from seventh to third following its victories over Paine and Union (Tenn.). Wingate and Lander slipped to fourth and fifth, respectively, after being tied for third a week ago.

North Georgia remained in the sixth slot, while Columbus State dropped from the fifth spot to the seventh spot. Augusta took over eighth place while Lincoln Memorial held steady in the ninth spot with Anderson rounding out the top-10.

The Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its third year of existence. The regional poll is released every Monday, followed by the national poll every Tuesday. Each region has six representatives that comprise the regional poll. The national poll has 16 voters - 2 from each region.

The Trojans return to the hardwood on Saturday, December 3 when they travel to the SAC foe Queens. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
