DURANGO, Colo. –Anderson University women's basketball team remains in the No. 6 slot in the Southeast Region Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, after falling to No. 1 Lincoln Memorial and defeating No. 8 Wingate, both South Atlantic Conference opponents, as announced by the regional committee on Monday.
Lincoln Memorial continues to occupy the top spot and has yet to lose a game this season (15-0). Columbus State and North Georgia trade places while Limestone and Lander do the same. Anderson, Clayton State and Wingate hold firm to the rankings from a week ago while Mount Olive moves up to No. 9. Newberry and Catawba both drop out making room for UNC Pembroke in the tenth slot.
The Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its third year of existence. The regional poll is released every Monday, followed by the national poll every Tuesday. Each region has six representatives that comprise the regional poll. The national poll has 16 voters - 2 from each region.
The Trojans return to the hardwood on Wednesday as they travel to SAC foe Carson-Newman to continue their conference slate. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
