DURANGO, Colo. –Anderson University women's basketball team remains No. 8 in the Southeast Region Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, after defeating both Mars Hill and Newberry, both South Atlantic Conference opponents, as announced by the regional committee on Monday.
Lincoln Memorial continues to occupy the top spot and has yet to lose a game this season (19-0). Columbus State remains No. 2 while Limestone and North Georgia hold claim to the same ranking as last week, No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. Clayton State and Wingate each moved up a notch to No. 5 and No. 6 while Lander drops two slots to No.7. Anderson remains steady at No. 8 while UNC Pembroke breaks into the top 10 in the ninth spot with Mount Olive slips one position to No. 10.
The Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its third year of existence. The regional poll is released every Monday, followed by the national poll every Tuesday. Each region has six representatives that comprise the regional poll. The national poll has 16 voters - 2 from each region.
The Trojans return to the hardwood on Wednesday as they travel to SAC opponent Tusculum to continue their conference slate. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
