Women’s Basketball Remains No. 6 in the D2SIDA Media Poll

DURANGO, Colo. –Anderson University women's basketball team remains in the No. 6 slot in the Southeast Region Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, after defeating South Atlantic Conference opponents Brevard, 82-52 and Lenoir-Rhyne, 61-53, as announced by the regional committee on Monday.

Lincoln Memorial continues to occupy the top spot and has yet to lose a game this season (12-0). North Georgia, Columbus State, Lander, Limestone, Anderson and Clayton State held firm to its rankings from a week ago. Newberry dropped into a tie at the tenth spot allowing Wingate and Catawba to each move up to No. 8 and No. 9, respectively.

Mount Olive entered the rankings tied for tenth after picking up two wins and a loss on the week.

The Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its third year of existence. The regional poll is released every Monday, followed by the national poll every Tuesday. Each region has six representatives that comprise the regional poll. The national poll has 16 voters - 2 from each region.

The Trojans return to the hardwood on Wednesday as they host SAC foe Lincoln Memorial to continue their conference slate. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
