Women’s Basketball Falls to No. 8 in the D2SIDA Media Poll

DURANGO, Colo. –Anderson University women's basketball team fell two spots to No. 8 in the Southeast Region Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, after defeating South Atlantic Conference foe Coker and then dropping a home decision to Catawba on Saturday 77-63, as announced by the regional committee on Monday.

Lincoln Memorial holds onto the top spot after remaining undefeated and pushing its overall record to 11-0 on the year. Limestone stays at No. 2 while Lander jumps three places to the third slot. Clayton State and North Georgia share the fourth position with Newberry slipping to No. 6.

Columbus State remain No. 7 with Anderson, Wingate and Augusta rounding out the top 10.

The Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its third year of existence. The regional poll is released every Monday, followed by the national poll every Tuesday. Each region has six representatives that comprise the regional poll. The national poll has 16 voters - 2 from each region.

The Trojans return to the hardwood on tonight as they host Tusculum to continue their conference slate. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
