Maya Wynn was named assistant for the Anderson women’s basketball program in August of 2023. Wynn is entering her first season with the Trojans.

“Very excited to have the opportunity to hire someone with her experience,” said Barbaree. “As a player, Maya has won a conference championship and played in the NCAA Tournament at the Division I level. We are looking forward to having her join our program.”

Wynn joins the Trojans from Winthrop, where she served one season under head coach Semeka Randall Lay. Prior to being an Eagle, Wynn came from Cincinnati, where she served as an interim assistant coach in 2021-22.

During her time at Cincinnati, she worked with film, created, and executed skill development plans for multiple players, planned weekly academic meeting with players, and compiled/organized high school schedules and transcripts during the evaluation process.

Wynn briefly served as the special assistant to the head coach in the fall of 2021. Prior to her arrival in Cincinnati, she spent one season as an assistant coach at Loyola University (Md.). While there, she was responsible for working with post players, breaking down film, developing scouting reports, planning team activities, and facilitating postseason workouts.

Before heading to Loyola, Wynn served as an assistant coach at Albright College (Pa.) and worked as a graduate assistant in the Saint Francis (Pa.) athletic department.

Wynn played and graduated from Saint Francis and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting. She was named to the All-Rookie Team in 2014 and currently ranks third in the Red Flash record books with 3-point baskets attempted and fifth in 3-point baskets made during her stint at Saint Francis (2014-2018).
