NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Anderson University men's tennis team fell to Newberry, 5-1, in the South Atlantic Conference quarterfinal match on Wednesday afternoon at the Oakland Tennis Center.
The Trojans finish the season 12-9 overall while the Wolves move to 22-6 on the year.
The Black and Gold earned the first and their only point of the match on Ignacio Bidegain and Preston Morpeth win over Jose Navarro and Alex Amble, 8-2. Newberry claimed a point from the No. 1 and No. 2 flights to take the 2-1 advantage heading into singles play.
The Wolves were able to capture the three necessary points to clinch the match and move on to the semifinal round in Cayce, S.C.
