ANDERSON, S.C. - Mattie Hamilton, who signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at Anderson during last month's early signing period, was named to the Macon Telegraph's All-Middle Georgia Softball Team, as was unveiled on Wednesday.

The Perry, Ga., native was named to the squad for the second consecutive year after earning Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Region 2-AAAAA Offensive Player of the Year accolades. She posted a .578 batting average last season, while recording 10 home runs, 10 doubles and driving in 41 runs and striking out only four times.

The Trojans open their 2016 season at home versus Conference Carolinas opponent Lees-McRae on Jan. 31. First pitch for the doubleheader is slated for 2 p.m.
