SKILLMAN, N.J. - Following a 2013 season that saw the doubles team of Juan Carracedo and Mateo Rivas post a 6-3 South Atlantic Conference record, Anderson University men's tennis' No. 1 doubles pair has been ranked No. 23 in the Preseason Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II Doubles Rankings, announced by the ITA on Monday.
With their success last spring, Carracedo and Rivas were named to the All-SAC Second Team Doubles list, as Carracedo was tabbed the conference's Freshman of the Year. Beginning their sophomore seasons, the Argentinean natives went 2-1 at the Southeast Regional Small College ITA/USTA Championships in late September, with their lone setback coming against No. 4 seed Fernando Bogajo and Pablo Gor of Armstrong.
Carracedo and Rivas look to lead the Trojans into the spring
season, which commences in early February. The schedule is set to
be released later this month.
