Owen, Robson Make All-CVAC Team

THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Two Anderson College players -- Caleb Owen and Desmond Robson -- were named to the 2005 All-CVAC second team, the league announced Friday night. Owen, a senior outfielder from Westminster, S.C., led Anderson in hitting at .349. In 45 games, Owen had 66 hits, including 11 doubles, two triples, and one homer, and drove in 16 runs. He also led the Trojans in runs scored with 48, and he stole 10 bases in 11 attempts. Robson, a sophomore pitcher from Easley, S.C., was 6-2 with a 4.74 ERA. His six victories led the AC staff. In 79 2/3 innings, Robson struck out 44 and walked 31. He made 13 starts for the Trojans, completed three games, and pitched one shutout.
