ANDERSON, S.C. -- Kevin Bulger hit a two-run homer in the first inning and earned the save to lead North Georgia to a 5-3 victory over Anderson College Wednesday afternoon at Anderson Memorial Stadium. After Bulger, who was 3-for-5, staked the Saints to a 2-0 lead in the first, the Saints added two more runs in the fourth for a 4-0 lead. Anderson finally broke through against North Georgia starter Michael Whiting in the seventh with Kyle Lewis hit a three-run homer to cut the North Georgia lead to 4-3. After North Georgia added a single run in the eighth, Anderson tried to rally in the ninth. With a runner on first and two outs, Bulger entered and allowed a single before striking out Donavon Schmidt to end the game. North Georgia finished the game with 14 hits to seven for Anderson.
