CENTRAL, S.C. -- Caleb Owen had two hits and drove in two runs and Donavon Schmidt had three hits and hit a solo home run to lead Anderson College past Southern Wesleyan 6-2. Anderson, 10-14 overall, scored two runs in the first and one in the second to take a 2-0. In the first, Owen walked, Schmidt singled, and Clint Neville reached on an error to score Owen. Schmidt scored the second run on a single by Jonathan Pitts. In the second, Owen provided an RBI single. In the eighth, Schmidt hit a solo homer. Three Anderson pitchers -- Desmond Robson, Gib Bethea, and Will Cheatham -- combined to limit Southern Wesleyan to six hits.
