Nall Named Assistant Baseball Coach At AC

ANDERSON, S.C. -- Chris Nall, a four-year letter winner and three-year conference starter at Pfeiffer University, has been named assistant baseball coach at Anderson College, AC head coach Joe Miller announced Friday. Nall, who led the Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference in innings pitched, starts, complete games, and strikeouts in 2004, will work with AC's pitchers and serve as head coach of the junior varsity team. "Chris was a real competitor on the mound at Pfeiffer, and I believe he will be a tremendous addition to our baseball program," Miller said. "His knowledge of pitching and the teams in the CVAC will be a great asset for us." Nall replaces Chris Edwards, who resigned in mid-July to enter private business. "I have a lot of respect for Coach Miller and the Anderson program," Nall said. "This is a great opportunity for me." Nall, a native of Asheboro, N.C., was an all-state and all-conference selection at Southwest Randolph High School. He led the conference in innings pitched, wins, strikeouts, and complete games in 2000 and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. At Pfeiffer, he helped lead the Falcons to two CVAC championships. He also served the Falcons as assistant sports information director and as a baseball camp counselor. He graduated from Pfeiffer last May with a B.A. in sports management and a minor in business management. This summer, Nall has been serving as pitching coach for the Fayetteville (N.C.) team in the Coastal Plains League.
