Shakes Named to NSCAA All-Southeast Region Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Anderson University women's soccer senior forward Tina Shakes was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Southeast Region list, as Shakes was named to the second team, announced by the NSCAA on Wednesday.

The native of Coral Springs, Fla. paced the Trojans in points (24), shots on goal (38), goals (10) and in assists with four. The forward was named to the South Atlantic Conference First Team following the regular season. Shakes stellar play helped lead Anderson into the SAC Tournament and its quarterfinal win over Tusculum.

Shakes headlined her year with the Black and Gold by a four-goal performance against North Greenville to help lead Anderson's fast start, winning six of its first seven matches. Shakes also scored three game-winners over the season.

The postseason recognition for Shakes from the NSCAA marks the third player in program history to earn the honor, Shakes was one of 12 players from the SAC to be recognized on the three teams honored by the NSCAA.
