Women’s Soccer Welcomes Mars Hill for Senior Day

ANDERSON, S.C. – Despite clinching a top-eight spot with the win over Lincoln Memorial last week, the Anderson University women's soccer team still has work to do when it faces off with South Atlantic Conference opponent Mars Hill on Saturday at Trojan Stadium. The Trojans, along with the rest of the league, will be jockeying for the highest possible seed to help pave the way for successful post-season play.

SERIES HISTORY
Since 2010, Anderson carries an impressive 5-0-1 record against Mars Hill, including a 2-1 victory in last season's meeting. MHU's lone point in the last six matchups came in 2013 when the teams played to a 0-0 draw at Belk Field.

#18 Tina Shakes – Shakes joined the Trojans after completing her undergraduate career at Clemson University, earning a 5th year after a knee injury during her sophomore season. Shakes currently leads the Trojans for 2016 season with 10 goals and 3 assists while scoring 3 game winning goals this year. Shakes has started and played in all of the Trojans 14 games of the 2016 season.

#3 Jaclyn Kubiak - Jaclyn carries 1 goal and 5 assists on her career with the Trojans. Kubiak played in four matches this season before suffering an injury.

#22 Emily Perez - Perez has started 26 of her 51 career games played, scoring 4 goals with one game-winner coming this season at home against Brevard.

#11 Alaina Gay - Gay is co-captain and has 45 starts of her 60 game career. Gay was named to the 2016 ALL- SAC Preseason team and has a total of 9 goals and 6 assists on her career. Gay was named SAC POTW in Week 1 of the 2016 season.
