Trojans Move Match to Upward Stars Center in Spartanburg; Welcomes Lenoir-Rhyne

ANDERSON, S.C. – Due to the threat of heavy rains in the Anderson area, the Anderson University women's soccer match will be played at Upward Stars Center in Spartanburg. The Trojans welcome South Atlantic foe Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday determined to snap a three match skid.

SERIES HISTORY
Prior to the 2015 season, Anderson had failed to earn a point against its Tar Heel State rivals since joining the SAC in 2010 with two setbacks in the SAC Tournament. In last season regular season matchup, current Trojan Megan Foster scored a goal in the 2-1 loss. The goal by Anderson was the only second goal ever scored on Lenoir-Rhyne by the Trojans since joining the conference in 2010. The Trojans then faced the Bears in the quarterfinals of the SAC tournament advancing on to the championship game on penalty kicks. Lenoir-Rhyne holds a 0-8-1 advantage over the Trojans since becoming member of the SAC.

ANDERSON OVERVIEW
• The Black and Gold lost to Lenoir-Rhyne in regular season last season, 2-1 then defeated L-R in penalty kicks to advance to the SAC championship match.
• The Trojans are looking to snap their current three match losing streak.
• Senior Tina Shakes leads Anderson with eight goals on the season.
