Chiles, Langston Lead Anderson Past St. Andrews, 82-65

LAURINBURG, N.C. - LaShonda Chiles scored 20 points and Deidra Langston tallied 19 to lead Anderson University to an 82-65 victory over St. Andrews Presbyterian College Saturday afternoon. Anderson, 9-2 overall and 5-1 in the CVAC, has now won seven straight games. St. Andrews falls to 4-7, 3-4. Chiles, a junior from Greenwood, S.C., who has scored in double figures in 56 straight games, also had seven assists and three steals. Latrice Thomas, who was 8-for-8 from the line added 16 points for the Lady Trojans. St. Andrews was led by Crista Henderson with 14 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Anderson took the lead two minutes into the game and never relinquished it. The Lady Trojans shot 50 percent in the first half on their way to a 45-32 halftime lead. St. Andrews got no closer than seven points in the second half. Anderson finished the game at 52 percent from the field while St. Andrews managed just 30 percent. For the third consecutive game, the Lady Trojans attempted more than 30 free throws. Anderson finished the game 23-for-31 from the line. In its last three games, Anderson is 82-for-106 (77 percent) from the line.
